Leviat’s Australia-based engineering support team is available to provide assistance on the specification, design, detailing and scheduling of complete lifting and fixing solutions for the markets in Australia and New Zealand.
Structural Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious Structural Engineer who is looking to enhance their career with a global leader in construction accessories.
The Opportunity
Part of our Technical team, the Structural Engineer is integral to our projects, manufacturing, and product development capability in Australia and New Zealand. We are open to this role being in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing technical support to other internal departments and our customers and stakeholders
Preparing designs to meet all relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards using best-practice design principles and methods
Carrying out ongoing reviews of standard products within our Ancon and other related product ranges to optimise manufacture, product application and customer requirements
Carrying out design and drafting checks to minimise errors and maintain quality
Designing bespoke products and coordination with the Production teams
What We’re Looking For
Degree qualified in structural engineering or similar
Knowledge and application of reinforced concrete design
Understanding of all relevant Australian design codes
Analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in fundamental structural engineering principles
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
Demonstrated drive and initiative with a strong desire to learn and grow within a company
Ability to work autonomously, organised and ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong systems skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
