About Us:

Join our compassionate and flexible team at Midnight Cloud Chaser, a family-owned business providing 24/7 care for a single client in her family home. Our client's unique needs underpin our entire business. We even invited her to name it! Our current multidisciplinary team of 16 works around the clock, and we're on the hunt for caring professionals to expand our team. We believe that if staff are treated well, they will provide the best care for our client. We have a very low turnover rate, with some staff working with us for over 15 years and many staying in contact even after moving on to other opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality clinical care, including advanced airway management such as suctioning and chest physio, emergency seizure management, PEG feeds and stoma care.
• Assist the client with daily activities, such as medication administration, showering, bedtime routine and overnight support, meals, light cleaning, laundry, and personal care.
• Perform manual handling, with appropriate equipment provided.
• Respect the client's complex communication needs and supported decision making. Training will be provided.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a 24/7 roster.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Must love dogs, as our client has a furry companion!

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical setting
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred but not required
• Highly desired: advanced airway management skills.
• Highly desired: experience with PEG feeding, emergency seizure management, stoma care, and pressure care.
• Experience in complex communication needs and supported decision making (favourable).
• Compassionate and fun-loving nature.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Integrity, honesty, initiative, proactivity, and attention to detail.
• Up-to-date vaccinations, first aid, and CPR certificates.
• Clear police check and NDIS worker screening check (or willingness to obtain).
• Non-smoker.
• Highly desirable: ICU, respiratory and/or A&E/critical care experience.

Current roster requirements:

We currently require a registered nurse to work a 12-hour shift on Sunday and Monday night (9pm - 9am), each fortnight, i.e. Sunday night and Monday night one week, and then the following week off.

An ability to cover day and/or night shifts for other team members' absences would be considered favourably.
