About the Role

An exciting opportunity has presented in our Lytton workshop for a Workshop Leading Hand to join a supportive and close-knit team. This full-time, permanent opportunity reports directly to the Workshop Supervisor and is responsible for supporting the supervisor with overseeing other experienced fitters on the workshop floor, providing guidance and hands on support.

Roster

• 7 On / 7 Off Roster
• 5:30am to 5:30pm daily

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the on-call roster as needed
• Raise work orders for all completed work
• Act as the 2IC for the Workshop Supervisor when required
• Ensure all vehicle maintenance is up to date and compliant
• Provide trade-qualified guidance to workshop employees
• Monitor timely completion of repairs, defects, and servicing

Qualifications and Skills:

• Trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics (Heavy Road Transport highly desirable) with 3 years trade experience is essential.
• Experience as a leading hand or similar role (highly desirable).
• Knowledge of Kenworth will be held in high regard.
• Experience with the maintenance of fuel trucks and trailers (highly desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised whilst maintaining a safe work area.
