Aeropets Animal Transport is a growing pet freight and logistics company with offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Due to expansion the company requires the assistance of an Casual Animal Handler / Driver to join our friendly and energetic Brisbane operations team.

Our Animal Handlers / Drivers are responsible for the company's on-road operations ensuring safe and reliable transport for a variety of pets relocating with their families interstate and overseas.

The role:

Safe transport of pets between residential, airport, office and veterinary locations;

Management and dispatch of transport containers (crates) in preparation for bookings;

Represent Aeropets' brand as the face of the company;

Provide kenneling and animal care services;

Lodgment of export paperwork to the Department of Agriculture and assist with inspections at the company's veterinary partner clinics;

Warehouse, kennel, company vehicle and container sanitation and upkeep;

Promote trusted relationships with clients, airlines and subcontractors;

Flexible working hours to accommodate early morning or late evening flights, collections or deliveries

Manual handling requirements and interaction with a diverse variety of animals;

Successful applicants will:

Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously, within a team and multitask in a fast pace environment;

Provide premium face-to-face customer service and professionalism;

Possess a current drivers license and clean driving record;

Exhibit a genuine interest in animals with a strong knowledge of pet breeds and metropolitan Brisbane locations;

Exhibit a high level of maturity and reliability;

Possess sufficient fitness for manual handling requirements;

Be able to work a flexible roster with possible changes at short notice;

Be available to work weekends and public holidays if required;

Possess an eye for detail;

Be confident interacting with a diverse range of animals; previous animal handling experience is an advantage;

Be available for an immediate start;
