Senior Automation Engineer
We're on the lookout for a Senior Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-performing team within a leading financial services organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical automation skills to work on impactful projects in the banking sector.

You'll bring your expertise in Quality Engineering (QE) Automation and deep understanding of modern testing frameworks—especially Playwright—to help build and maintain robust, reliable test solutions across critical digital platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop and maintain end-to-end automated test frameworks using Playwright
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leads to ensure coverage of key workflows
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve test failures with a hands-on approach
• Embed best practices in quality engineering across the development lifecycle
• Contribute to CI/CD integration and test automation pipelines

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in Quality Engineering Automation, ideally in large enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on expertise with Playwright for end-to-end web testing
• Experience with Test Stubbing
• Ability to read and understand technical codebases—you’ll be diving into the detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of initiative
• Previous experience in the banking or financial services domain is highly desirable - NAB, ANZ, CBA, Westpac
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in agile, cross-functional teams
