FindStaff are seeking 6-8 Experienced Procurement Officers for a government agency based in Canberra. Full-time work from home arrangements are possible across Sydney for the right candidates.

Primary purpose of the role
The Procurement Officer will focus on applying technology to improve inefficient processes. You will assist in driving and executing the Global Procurement digital strategy to innovate, reduce costs, enhance process efficiency, foster supplier collaboration, mitigate risks and optimise strategic sourcing to deliver improved procurement ROI.

May 5th Start date
Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week
Attractive $54.89-$62.98 per hour
12-week contract - possibility of extension!
Responsibilities and Capabilities
- Digital procurement technology: Drive, execute and enhance the procurement technology framework
- Strategic improvements: Identify and implement strategic improvements within the procurement technology framework to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve supplier relationships. This includes staying aware of the latest digital procurement trends and technologies. Identify, assess and configure process enhancements across the procurement tech-stack aligned to, or to drive policy improvements to meet and exceed KPI targets.
- Collaboration and leadership: Work closely with Procurement, IT, Finance and other internal and external key stakeholders to ensure solutions are fully integrated and aligned with business objectives.
- Outcome driven: Participate in meetings to represent work group perspective and share Information. Participate in discussions and decisions regarding implementation of innovation and best practice.
- Alignment to Procurement strategy: Build and maintain end-to-end workflows aligned to business strategies. Ensure platform configuration alignment to business process, Global Procurement policy and operating model designs.
- Build relationships: with a focus on business process improvement, helping to achieve maximum value from business investments in business systems. Work with suppliers to refine and develop more complex solutions.
- Digital solution supplier management: Oversee relationships with service providers ensuring they meet agreed upon service levels and deliverables. Manage supplier performance to ensure they are contributing to the Procurement vision. Partner with Sourcing & Category management to negotiate contracts and renewals.
- Data analysis and reporting: Utilise data analytics to monitor procurement activities and performance. Generate insights and reports to inform decision-making and demonstrate the value added by procurement technologies. Diagnose problems and develop effective solutions.
- Innovation and continuous improvement: Foster a culture of innovation within the procurement team. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI, and leveraging the enhancements delivered by our selected solutions.
- Change management: Lead change management initiatives related to digital procurement to ensure smooth transitions and high levels of adoption within the organisation.
- Compliance and risk management: Ensure all procurement technology solutions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital procurement.
- Governance: Ensure adequate documentation of platform reporting, analytics and dashboard configurations is maintained

Requirements
- Baseline Security clearance Required
- Degree Qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain/ Contract Management/Business or related field (desired)
- 3- 5 years experience in a similar role
- NSW drivers license
- Full working rights
- Clear Police check
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Word and Excel skills at an immediate level.
