About the business and the role

ARAC Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is a proud Kimberley, locally owned and operated business. Established in 2010, ARAC serve a well-established client base in Halls Creek, Fitzroy Crossing & Derby. Our core business is installation & routine maintenance across multiple sites & servicing the greater remote communities & stations.

We are currently seeking a Refrigeration Mechanics or dual trade Electrician to join our team. Third- and Fourth-year apprentices will also be considered.

The successful applicants will be servicing a wide range of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment. This job would well be suited to a mechanic that is well versed in the air conditioning installation segment of the trade and would like to gain more experience. Must be comfortable working & traveling alone.

Your base will be Fitzroy Crossing travelling to sites Fitzroy Crossing, Derby & Halls Creek from time to time. DIDO & FIFO from NT or WA will be considered for the right candidate. If you are willing to relocate, we will happily consider covering relocation costs.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your role will be, but not limited to,

Maintenance servicing on all a/c & refrigeration units

Fault findings

Installation of a/c & refrigeration units

Remote community & station work

Current and Valid:

Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick);

Trade Certification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or working towards);

Restricted Electrical Licence (as a minimum);

Construction White Card;

Motor Vehicle licence (able to drive a manual vehicle); and

Australian Residency or Current Work Visa

The position can be:

Permanent or Permanent Casual (min 38hrs per week) – we do not adhere to a strict roster. We offer flexible hours & overtime.

Remuneration:

Is dependent on years of experience;

Relocation allowances are applicable; and

All road travel is paid at full rates.

The job would suit someone who is highly motivated and wanting to get ahead.
