Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is expanding our Home Care Department in the Wollongong region, and we're looking for compassionate, dedicated Community Support Workers to join our team.

We support clients with a wide range of needs, and we highly value individuals with experience in:

✅ Complex Behaviours
✅ Personal Care and Daily Living Support

However, we welcome support workers from diverse backgrounds and skillsets, as long as you bring a caring attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.

Your Role

As a Community Support Worker, you’ll provide in-home and community-based support that enables people to live independently and with dignity. Your work will include:

Supporting people with disability or age-related care needs

Assisting with personal care, mobility, and medication prompts

Managing behaviours of concern (where applicable)

Promoting community access, social connection, and personal goals

Maintaining clear documentation and following client care plans

What We’re Looking For

A calm, confident, and caring approach

Experience in complex care and/or behaviours is highly regarded

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Reliability, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility

Availability to work across a range of shifts (including weekends)

Requirements

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

Working With Children Check

First Aid & CPR

Certificate III in Individual Support or similar (or working towards it) - highly regarded but not essential

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle

COVID-19 Vaccination (as per health regulations)
