The Role: Reception & Retail Sales Assistant

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a friendly, well-organised, and customer-focused individual to join our team in a permanent, full-time position. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

You will be the first point of contact for customers both in person and over the phone, playing a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of our front office and retail school uniform shop. From assisting local families with their school uniform needs to keeping our reception running smoothly, this is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering and professionally redirecting incoming phone calls.

Greeting customers in-store and assisting with enquiries and sales.

Processing transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system.

Assisting with a range of operational tasks as required, including picking and packing orders, creating box labels, and dispatching orders.

Maintaining customer files, order records, and other business documentation.

Completing general administrative tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail.

Ensuring the front desk and retail area are clean, organised, and welcoming at all times.

About You

You’ll ideally have some previous experience in administration, reception, or customer service, but more importantly, you’ll bring a positive attitude, be well presented, and enjoy being the face of the business.
