An exciting opportunity has become available in our Resource Planning & Scheduling department for an organised Workforce Scheduling Officer to join the team. The Workforce Scheduling Officer provides administrative support in all aspects of resource planning (Establishment, Workforce, Fleet). The role will be responsible for the coordination and processing of rosters for Ambulance and Patient Transport Operations.
The role is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm at our Belmont State Office.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, build, and maintain rosters for Paramedics, Transport and Communication Officers
- Assist in leave management of our operational staff
- Adhere to policies, procedures, Enterprise Agreements and Fair Work Act
- Ensure all relevant information and database systems are kept up to date by collecting, analysing, and summarising data and trends
- Ensure strong rapport is continually maintained with Paramedics, Ambulance Officers, Patient Transport, Communication Officers and other internal stakeholders
- Provide information and advice to staff in relation to rostering requirements
- Deliver presentations and workshops to new operational employees
- Developing and maintaining training schedules for new officers.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 1 year experience in administration
- Cert IV in business administration (highly desirable)
- Exceptional phone manner, customer service skills and experience dealing with phone enquiries
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and prioritise competing actions
- Competency using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical-thinking skills
