We are looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join our growing manufacturing team. If you have a passion for precision, a strong background in operating CNC machines, and a commitment to producing high-quality products, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you'll play an essential part in manufacturing precision components for various industries, from mining, horticulture, and general infrastructure. With opportunities for growth and development, this position offers a dynamic and rewarding career.

We urgently need people to fill Afternoon and Night shift positions starting between 2pm and 10pm, so if you're available immediately, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate CNC/Waterjet machines to create high-precision parts.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models to accurately produce components.

Quality Control: Use measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure all parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards.

Tool Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Programming: Write and modify CNC programs (e.g., G-code) or utilize CAM software to optimize the machining process.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance machining processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.

Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in manufacturing.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation, experience with CNC machining centers, lathes, and DXF software.

Blueprint & CAD Understanding: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Precision & Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality components.

Problem-Solving: Able to troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to improve performance and quality.

Tool Knowledge: Familiar with cutting tools, measuring instruments, and machine controls.

Qualifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CNC programming certificate, apprenticeship qualifications).

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

You Must Be Able to Provide:

Valid work rights for Australia with unlimited work ability.

Physically fit and healthy with no respiratory conditions due to working with fibreglass products.

Ability to pass a urine drug and alcohol screen.

Availability for a face-to-face interview ASAP at our Stepney Head Office.

A car license and own transport (no public transport available).
