The role
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to ensure Council’s assets are managed responsibly and effectively with regard to cost, safety and fulfilling legislative, regulatory, audit and reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop, implement and review a range of asset management policies, strategies and plans.
Managing and maximising the use of our asset management and geospatial information system.
Coordinate the collection of asset condition data in a timely cycle and in accordance with Asset Management Plans.
Administer and maintain the integrity of Council’s Asset Management System, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Assist with the development of the Capital and Maintenance Works Programs in accordance with Council’s targets.
Undertake financial and performance modelling, including end of financial year revaluation reports.
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
relevant experience and qualifications in asset management
expertise in managing Asset Management (and Geospatial) Information Systems and software applications (experience with Brightly Assetic would be highly regarded)
demonstrated skills and knowledge in budget development and management, maintenance and construction of road infrastructure, capitalisation and valuation
a current Victorian Drivers License
