The Lightning Ridge branch of NSW Resources are looking an Administrative Officer to come and join the team.

About the role:
As an Administrative Officer you’ll provide administrative, financial and support services to assist the operation of the Branch, including the administration of opal mineral claims.

Your days will be busy and varied as you:

  1. Provide customer service - answering general enquiries face to face, over the phone and via email.
  2. Provide administrative services including filing, scanning, mail receipt and sorting, maintenance of registers, routine purchasing, photocopying, and creating and compiling documents to support the effective operation of the team/unit.
  3. Support opal mining stakeholders through mineral claim applications, robust determinations and change management due to future reforms.
  4. Update records and databases.

You’ll need to be someone who has a customer focused attitude and wants to contribute to the success of a team. Someone who is highly organised, who can pick things up quickly and can take on the challenge of working in a high-volume environment. Someone who respects confidentiality, can adapt when things change and is familiar and confident using different technology.
