About the Role: -

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Metal Design - civil Draftsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical CAD drawings for the fabrication of custom decorative metalwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce high-precision technical drawings and detailed schematics using CAD software, ensuring compliance with project briefs and architectural plans

Develop technical documentation for new and existing projects, considering structural requirements, material capabilities, and fabrication constraints

Translate conceptual designs into accurate, fabrication-ready drawings including detailed dimensions, tolerances, materials, and finishes

Collaborate with artisan metalworkers and production staff to confirm technical feasibility and resolve design queries

Apply an understanding of metallurgy and fabrication processes to optimise design quality and efficiency

Ensure that all documentation meets internal quality assurance standards and project timelines

Revise technical drawings as required based on feedback from production or client stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

Formal qualification in Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related fieldThe ideal candidate

Proficient in the use of SOLIDWORKS software and Key shots renders software.

A minimum of two years’ experience in drafting for custom metalwork or fabrication

Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex design briefs

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
