About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate PDHPE and CAFS Teacher to join our dynamic team at Blue Hills College in Lismore, NSW. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal growth of our students, fostering their development in personal development, health and physical education, as well as community and family studies.

What you'll be doing

Delivering engaging and effective PDHPE and CAFS lessons to secondary school students

Developing and implementing innovative curriculum and assessment strategies

Providing individualised support and guidance to students

Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall educational program

Participating in extracurricular activities and events to enrich the student experience

Maintaining accurate student records and complying with school policies and procedures

What we're looking for

A commitment to the purpose and ethos of Adventist Education

Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority

Demonstrated experience teaching PDHPE and CAFS at the secondary school level

Strong knowledge of the latest curriculum and teaching methodologies in these subject areas

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students

A commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practices

Enthusiasm for contributing to the broader life of the school community

Committed to child safety by providing a safe culture, safe operations and a safe environment (only applicants with a Working With Children Check will be considered for this role); and

A customer-focused team player with excellent people skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all school clients (students, staff, and parents).
