Female Support Worker Needed for 34-Year-Old Woman with Down Syndrome
Location: Belmore, NSW (Sydney Area)
Shifts: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable female support worker to assist a 34-year-old woman with Down syndrome. The role involves supporting her with personal care, daily routines, and community/social activities.

About the Client:

Personality: The client is very high functioning, sweet, bubbly, and happy. She has an easy-going and soft personality and no behavioral issues. She enjoys being around others, especially those who can match her positive energy. She loves movies, TV shows, humor, and singing, making her a fun and engaging individual to work with.

Medical Info: The client has heart complications, a pacemaker, and is on blood-thinning medication. She is allergic to Keflex, Penicillins, and latex. For religious and health reasons, she cannot eat pork or any food that is not Halal certified.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, encouraging independence where possible.

Support in daily routines like washing hands, brushing teeth, and other self-care tasks.

Accompany the client on community outings and social activities, promoting inclusion and engagement.

Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance her well-being and confidence.

About You:

Female support worker.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly Down syndrome, is highly desirable.

A fun, energetic, and patient personality with the ability to engage in social activities and share her sense of humor and love for life.

Ability to follow medical and dietary requirements to ensure her safety and well-being.

Current first aid and CPR certifications.

Certificate 3 or equivalent in individual support.
