About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Planner to join our client’s high-performing and values-driven team for a 3 -6 month duration. This critical role will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and optimising maintenance planning and scheduling functions to maximise field workforce productivity and service excellence across the region.
You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely dispatch of work orders, minimise non-productive time, and proactively manage operational changes, risk, and compliance to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain efficient maintenance plans that synchronise activities and reduce repeat site visits.
Optimise scheduling to minimise travel time and maximise productive work hours.
Dispatch work in a timely manner to keep the field workforce active and aligned to daily targets.
Liaise with internal supervisors, leading hands, and external stakeholders for resource allocation and planning of advanced work orders.
Monitor and manage workflow queues and KPI compliance.
Coordinate customer notifications and effectively escalate issues where required.
Ensure accurate record-keeping using official systems and spreadsheets.
Proactively identify risks, offer solutions, and implement improvements to planning processes.
Support implementation of procedural changes and participate in team development activities.
Contribute positively to the culture of inclusion, safety, and continuous performance.
Skills and Experience Required
Demonstrated experience using SAP for work order and resource planning.
Advanced Excel skills and proven ability to manage data and reporting.
Understanding of technical requirements in water industry maintenance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong written, digital, and organisational competencies.
A flexible, proactive approach in fast-paced, service-oriented environments.
Commitment to Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) principles.
Full, valid driver’s license (preferred).
