We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Head of Construction to take ownership of the end-to-end project delivery for developments. This is a senior leadership role, internalising project delivery functions that were previously outsourced to external project management firms. From design development through to completion, you will oversee the full lifecycle of projects, ensuring they are delivered with precision, efficiency and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full delivery lifecycle of luxury residential and mixed-use developments.
• Manage builder procurement, tendering, and contract negotiations.
• Act as Superintendent under relevant building contracts.
• Ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural, and services design.
• Drive program, budget, and quality control to meet the company’s high standards.
• Establish and implement best-in-class delivery systems and processes.
• Build strong industry relationships with builders, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop an internal construction team as the business scales.

About You

• 10+ years of experience in high-end residential or boutique mixed-use development.
• Proven expertise in builder procurement, contract negotiation, and delivery leadership.
• Experience from a client-side project management consultancy is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of construction law and contract administration.
• Well-connected within the Melbourne construction and development industry.
• A passion for design excellence and delivering projects of the highest standard.
