ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent full-time position based on Barrow Island.
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to join our high performing team and be an integral part of our ongoing success on Chevron’s Gorgon Project, Barrow Island.
As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing key deliverables throughout the construction phase
- Building, mentoring and guiding a high performing site management team
- Working with the Project Manager, Engineers and Supervisors to coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Identifying and solving technical issues and implementing solutions
- Nurturing positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Taking ownership for creating a safe working environment across the project
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Extensive experience in major construction projects in mining and oil & gas
- 5+ years experience as a Construction Manager
- Proficient project planning and scheduling capabilities
- Proficient productivity monitoring and measurement
- Fluency in established HSEQ systems and principles
- Industrial relations management knowledge
Qualifications for this position are:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- S26 Statutory Supervisor
ABOUT BARROW ISLAND - Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years.
Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!
