About the opportunity:
Position: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker – Advanced (Identified)
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Assessment Engagement Services, Townsville

- Salary range: $2878.20 to $3958.00 p.f. (HWF3)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health, or
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, or
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, or
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and other Drugs.
- Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or
- Diploma of Mental Health, or
- Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs
- Appointment, and future increment progression, between pay points HWF3.1 to HWF3.5 requires:
- Appointment, and future increment progression, between pay points HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires:
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance and Blue Card Checks.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
