In this rewarding role, you will oversee the daily care and well-being of young people in our residential care homes, guiding and supporting a team of Residential Carers. As a key member of our Out of Home Care Program, you’ll work closely with the Residential Care Coordinator to ensure that every day is filled with growth, stability, and positive development for the young people in our care.
Your mission will be to foster a safe, healthy, and harmonious home environment through exceptional leadership, the application of therapeutic care techniques, and inspiring role modelling. This is a Permanent Full-time (38 hours per week) opportunity based in North Metro within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the Northern Residential Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and out of home care), or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.
- Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.

You must have a:
- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
