Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people? Join our dynamic team as an Assistant House Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care within our residential care homes.
In this rewarding role, you’ll oversee the daily care provided by our dedicated residential care workers when the House Supervisor is off-duty or unavailable. As a vital part of our Out of Home Care Program, you’ll be directly involved in shaping a safe and supportive environment for young people, empowering them to thrive. You’ll report to the House Supervisor or Residential Care Coordinator when the House Supervisor is absent.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time (38 hours per week) opportunity based in Bendigo within our Out of Home Care program. The position reports to the House Supervisor.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
- Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and support a team of residential care workers.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
- Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.

You must have a:
- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
