Position Title: Level 5 Farm Worker – Table Grapes (Full-Time)
Location: Far North Queensland
Salary: $73,150 p.a.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Level 5 Farm Worker to join our team at Fairview Orchards. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of our table grape farming operations, ensuring high standards of crop care, production, and maintenance. This is a physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work under varying conditions, including night shifts and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Vineyard Maintenance: Assist in the general upkeep of grapevines, including pruning, training, and vine management.

Harvesting & Packing: Participate in the harvesting of table grapes, ensuring correct procedures are followed to maintain quality. Assist with packing grapes for distribution.

Tractor Operation: Operate farm machinery and tractors for tasks such as irrigation, spraying, and other operational duties.

Chemical Handling: Safely handle and apply agricultural chemicals as per safety guidelines and legal requirements.

Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to farm operations, including pesticide applications, irrigation schedules, and harvest data.

General Farm Duties: Perform other general farm tasks as required, including but not limited to irrigation, weeding, and maintaining farm equipment.

Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, farm protocols, and quality standards set by the orchard.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in table grape farming or a similar agricultural environment.

Valid driver’s license and access to your own transport.

Accommodation arrangements for the duration of employment.

Certificate of Competence in tractor operation and chemical handling.

Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken) for effective record-keeping and communication within the team.

Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, depending on the needs of the farm.

A strong work ethic and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with varying hours, including weekends and night shifts.

Work is conducted outdoors in all weather conditions.

Physical labor is required, including lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks.
