Peffer Pastoral Co is a family-owned business located in Molong, in the heart of Central West NSW. We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Driver to join our warehouse operations team.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Thursday, with additional fortnightly Saturdays. Start time is 11am and the finish time depends on when all outgoing trucks are loaded – so flexibility is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as electric and manual pallet jacks, to move goods efficiently and safely.

Use forklift controls to align, raise, and lower forks for stacking and unstacking items in warehouses and yard storage areas.

Transport materials and palletised goods to designated areas within the facility or shipping zones.

Operate forklifts in standard warehouse settings and in narrow aisles using electronic guidance systems where required.

Ensure that loads are centred, secured, and properly stacked to prevent damage or spillage during transport.

Carry out pallet building, pallet picks, and shrink-wrapping or other securing methods to prepare goods for dispatch.

Follow safe work practices and adhere to WHS regulations and company policies at all times.

Monitor forklift operation using visual gauges, instruments, and on-board electronic systems to ensure optimal performance.

Inspect forklifts regularly to detect signs of wear, damage, or operational issues; perform minor servicing and adjustments as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area, contributing to an efficient and safe warehouse environment.

Rotate stock as necessary to ensure older goods are used or shipped first (FIFO practices).

Accurately document incoming and outgoing stock, track goods movement and storage locations, and check trucking manifests against physical shipments.

Support quality assurance processes by reporting any product damage, shortages, or irregularities.

May also operate specialised lifting equipment or trucks designed to move loads beneath elevated frames or structures.

Essential Skills & Attributes

Ability to read and understand shipping labels, manifests, and warehouse safety procedures.

Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.

Efficient time management and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Strong focus on safety. Understands and follows strict safety protocols in a high risk environment.

Physically fit, able to lift up to 15kg when required.

Attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Forklift Licence – required

Valid Driver’s Licence – required

Truck Licence – highly desirable

Minimum 1 year experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, logistics, or production environment.

AQF Certificate II or III in Warehousing Operations, Supply Chain Operations (Warehousing Operations) or relevant area. At least 12 months of relevant experience can substitute the formal qualification
