Forklift Driver Duties:

• Ensure WHSE practices, procedures, and standards are followed at all times for the Logistics and Transport teams
• Supervise a small team of Forklift drivers/ Loaders
• Storage and handling of materials in accordance with SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements)
• Ensure loads are tied down and organized for safe and efficient unloading per the route schedule drops
• Ensuring the machines are loaded with material (steel coil) at all times
• Reporting and recording any safety or maintenance issues with plant and equipment, including forklifts, cranes, racks, etc.
• Report and request any staff, system, or process-related matters to TransportManager
• Maintain licensing and accreditation for plant and equipment, e.g. forklift license
• Work proactively with Production to ensure schedule and priority changes are managed in a professional and courteous manner

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge

• Forklift license (mandatory)
• Previous Loading experience
• 1-3 years of experience in warehousing/loading operations
• Demonstrated ability to plan and load bulk materials
• Knowledge of ERP systems, order entry, and truck system inventory
• Knowledge of how to operate and record data, including barcode scanners
