The Role:
As a Senior Insolvency Accountant based in the Perth office, you will be a key member of the team, directly supporting Registered Liquidators and Bankruptcy Trustees. You will manage crucial aspects of both corporate and personal insolvency administrations, contributing significantly to case progression and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing day-to-day case administration tasks, including applying appropriate controls.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Preparing draft reports for creditors, lenders, and other key stakeholders.
- Compiling and analysing financial information, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
- Liaising professionally with clients, creditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting with investigations into antecedent transactions and potential breaches, ensuring timely reporting.
- Ensuring all working papers are accurate, compliant, and meticulously maintained.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate and/or personal insolvency, ideally gained within a mid-tier, large, or specialist insolvency firm. (Candidates with 1+ years of direct insolvency experience showing strong potential may be considered).
- Qualifications: A relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Accounting, Commerce, Finance).
- Professional Certification: CA or CPA qualification is required.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for clear reporting and relationship building.
- Teamwork & Autonomy: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness due to the sensitive nature of the work.
- Adaptability: A flexible, enthusiastic, and committed approach suited to the dynamic insolvency field.
