About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be integral to our Business Restructuring and Insolvency team. You will manage key aspects of various formal appointments, working collaboratively with colleagues and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders. We value adaptability and a proactive approach in this constantly evolving field.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing client engagements, ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are applied.
- Conducting thorough investigations, identifying potential issues, and ensuring timely reporting.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Drafting comprehensive reports for lenders, creditors, and other stakeholders.
- Compiling complex information, drawing insightful conclusions, and formulating clear recommendations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating the firm's restructuring capabilities.
- Ensuring all working papers are meticulously maintained, accurate, and compliant.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience, ideally gained within a specialist insolvency firm or a chartered accounting firm with exposure to similar engagements.
- Qualifications: A relevant bachelor's degree. CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable (or significant progress towards completion).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of insolvency principles and practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Teamwork & Autonomy: Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness, crucial for handling sensitive financial information.
