What You'll Be Doing (aka your impact):
Quality & Risk Management
- Lead quality audits and assurance activities, identifying gaps and driving improvement.
- Collaborate with our Quality Assurance Officer to turn data and risks into action.
- Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, incident reporting, and governance frameworks.
Continuous Improvement
- Embed a culture of innovation and learning across community services.
- Review and refine care protocols, ensuring evidence-based, safe, and effective practices.
- Keep quality at the heart of everything-from reporting to day-to-day service delivery.
Clinical Leadership & Support
- Provide expert advice on complex clinical matters and high-level complaints.
- Partner with leaders to upskill teams and support staff across clinical and non-clinical roles.
- Deliver engaging education sessions to boost knowledge, confidence, and capability.
Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee policy, process, and procedure updates for the Community Division.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and prepare for audits and accreditation.
- Represent Feros Care on committees and ensure we're always audit-ready.
Team & Culture Building
- Lead and support your Quality Assurance Officer with purpose and positivity.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Champion our values and bring a fun, proactive energy to everything you do.
About You:
- Experience in quality, risk, or clinical governance within aged care or community services.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving abilities.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
- APHRA Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional with experience in community aged care.
- Strong communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and report writing.
- High level of initiative, motivation, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate digital systems effectively.
Qualifications, Certificates, and Registrations:
- APHRA clinical registration (Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and/or access to reliable transport.
- Ability to travel interstate as required to support regional teams.
Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience in project development and implementation
- Background in managing quality systems, assurance, and audit activities in aged, disability, or healthcare sectors.
