The position

At SuniTAFE we are on a journey, with a range of strategic projects to deliver to support SuniTAFE as an employer of choice, upskill and develop our people and continually improve our P&C business practices.

A People and Culture Advisor provides HR/IR advice, support and coaching to our leaders across the business, and to our employees. In addition, our Advisors lead and deliver a range of projects such as workforce planning, training sessions, succession planning, internal mobility and mentoring programs, to name just a few. In 2025 we are going on-line with recruitment, and this is a project itself! This is a great time to join our team as we craft and create new ways to deliver service to our business. Working with one other P&C Advisor, you will also provide some support to our dedicated Talent Advisor to support ongoing recruitment.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture, our People & Culture Advisors provide employee relations and recruitment support across SuniTAFE campuses in Mildura, Swan Hill, and the Smart Farm.

We are looking for a person who is an experienced in delivering HR projects and supporting large numbers of employees, or an experienced Generalist People Manager and that has transferable skills in this space. What you'll need

Formal qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or extensive experience in specialist or generalist HR/P&C/Leadership roles.

Knowledge of, and ability to consistently apply the Fair Work Act and National Employment standards, Workplace Agreements and Awards.

Ability to build and maintain constructive and trusting client relationships across all levels of a medium to large organisation.

Energy and passion for leading organisation change initiatives, providing ongoing coaching and being responsive to client needs.

A customer focussed approach including a high level of emotional intelligence to communicate with confidence across the organisation.

Be autonomous to develop, lead and deliver programs/projects, including stakeholder identification and broad collaboration.

Facilitation and presentation skills to effectively lead meetings and deliver informal training and coaching sessions. If you don't have this experience yet are willing to learn, we can support your development.

A sense of purpose for the People and Culture function, and a sense of excitement about joining a progressive and committed P&C team, with an appetite for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:

A successful criminal record check which is less than 6 months old; and

A working with children check.
