Northern Beaches Respiratory and Sleep is a friendly, innovative, growing respiratory practice with a respiratory function laboratory providing lung function testing and home sleep studies. Qualifications & experience

Completed undergraduate/postgraduate degree in science with a strong component in human physiology

Prior experience as a respiratory scientist in a respiratory function laboratory is essential

A professional appearance with excellent oral and written communication skills

Attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to work independently

Professional, friendly disposition, with an ability to remain calm in adverse situations

High standard of work ethic - self motivated, trustworthy, punctual, and takes pride in work

Current certification in CPR

Tasks & responsibilities

Conduct complex lung function tests including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusing capacity and respiratory muscle strength.

Computer skills including word processing, spread sheet application and clinical information systems

Maintain quality assurance practices including calibration and Maintenance of equipment as per the respiratory and sleep services accreditation standards.

Liaise closely with the Practice Manager and the Medical Directors of the clinic to ensure smooth operation of the lab.

Build and maintain professional relationships with patients, respiratory specialists, and external clinicians
