About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Service Bay All Rounder to join our team based in North Rockhampton, Queensland. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the Heavy/Medium vehicle section with a $1000 Sign on Bonus (Conditions apply).

What you'll be doing

Carry out heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance, major and minor services in accordance with Heavy Vehicle standards and NHVAS compliance

Carry out diagnostic inspections and fault finding

Provide breakdown assistance when required

Maintain & use equipment as designed.

Comprehensive truck overhauls, including engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, and chassis refurbishments.

Ensure that work is performed as per job instructions to a high-quality standard and completed in the specified time frames.

Assist in the management of a harmonious environment, team building & training of apprentices & other employees as required.

Demonstrate and follow WHS Safety protocol and procedures.

Adherence to All Industries Group’s Policy’s and Procedures.

What we're looking for

Trade Qualification – Truck Mechanic/Diesel Fitter

Skilled professional to help us rebuild and maintain Volvo trucks. You'll ensure that each Volvo truck meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.

HR and forklift licence (desirable)

Auto Electrician experience/qualifications (desirable)

High level knowledge and experience in the repair of highway truck and light vehicles

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to keep up to date with modern practices relevant to fleet servicing and repairs.

Well-developed technical, diagnostic and analytical skills relevant to mechanical servicing.

Basic computer literacy skills, including use of Outlook and Word.

Good time management and prioritisation.

High attention to detail.

Have an excellent work ethic.

Excellent relationship skills and works well in a team environment.

Energetic individual who shows initiative and commitment

Committed to always supplying a quality product.

Be proactive and safety conscious person who can maintain a clean and safe environment.

Ability to undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencing employment.
