Attractive Salary $70,775.12- $82,252.04 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum
Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for heavy vehicles and machinery?
The Opportunity:
As a Workshop Mechanic you'll report to the Team Leader Fleet and play a key role in:
Performing routine, scheduled, and reactive maintenance, repairs, and servicing on Council’s fleet, plant, machinery, and hydraulic equipment.
Investigating mechanical faults and breakdowns using both manual and computer-based diagnostics
Keeping accurate records of repairs, servicing schedules, and parts inventory.
Fostering a positive Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture by actively managing risks, maintaining a safe workspace
What You Need to Succeed (Essential Criteria):
Minimum Trade Certificate and Licence in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Automotive or other relevant qualification, with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing heavy plant and equipment.
Strong communication skills – ability to build relationships and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
Proficiency with digital tools and applications - field productivity & scheduling systems.
Experience in providing operational and maintenance support
Hold a current MR Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card with a willingness to obtain additional qualifications (Forklift Licence, RMS Safety Check and ASCIS & HVAIS examiner).
Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
