We now have an exciting opportunity for a Student Finance Advisor to join our team in the Student Services and Support Directorate.
- Full time, fixed term to December 2025
- Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas (on site)
- HEWL 6: $85,816 - $92,948 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this vital role, you will provide expert advice to students on fees, debts, scholarships, grants, and bursaries, ensuring compliance with legislation, government requirements, and University policies. You’ll resolve complex and sensitive financial matters, safeguard the integrity of financial data, and identify opportunities for service improvement. Your collaborative approach will enhance awareness and understanding of student finance across the University, ensuring accurate and timely outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We’re looking for a finance professional with experience in business, finance, or commerce, and financial systems and interpreting complex policies. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to deliver outstanding service, even in high-pressure situations. You’ll bring excellent organisational abilities, a commitment to accuracy, and a proven capacity to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and innovation.
