About the position Guided by the National Agreement on Closing the Gap and the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Plan, our Aboriginal Health Team delivers a comprehensive and holistic range of services for First Nations Communities across ACT and NSW. Based out of Batemans Bay, the Registered Nurse, Aboriginal Health works with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for First Nations Communities across the Eurobodalla. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- The provision of culturally appropriate consumer care coordination and chronic disease management
- Preventative health screening interventions, and
- Health engagement activities.
This position is a full-time opportunity, fixed term until 30 June 2026, with possibility of extension.
We are looking for someone with:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with minimum two years' experience
- Skills to deliver flexible and culturally safe health interventions to First Nations Communities
- Strong organisational skills and confidence in exercising clinical judgement
- The ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and communication skills
