Salary Sacrifice
As a not-for-profit entity, our employees can package up to $18,549 p.a. of their taxable income before your income tax is calculated. Up to $15,900 p.a. on everyday expenses (such as mortgage payments, rent, groceries, bills and insurance) plus up to $2,649 p.a. on meal/entertainment benefits.

The Salary range for this position is currently $38.97 to $50.14 per hour. Hourly rate based on experience.

Sign on And Retention Bonus
In addition, Churches of Christ have options to offer rental assistance and relocation assistance at remote and rural locations.
Lastly, Churches of Christ are offering a generous Sign on and Retention Cash bonus of up to $14,000.
You may be eligible for the following cash bonuses:
- $2000 on sign on – paid after third fortnight
- $3000 after 6 months
- $4000 after 12 months
- $5000 after 24 months.
For part-time employees, this amount will be paid on a pro-rata basis based on the ordinary hours of work during the period.

This role is based in our 34 -bed service in the lovely town of Blackall, Queensland. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Australian Outback, Blackall is a hidden gem that beckons with its unique blend of rugged charm and warm community spirit. Located 960km North West of Brisbane, life in Blackall offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern living. With the Barcoo River a short distance away, Blackall offers many opportunities for camping, hiking and enjoying the town's natural beauty.

About you

Essential Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration: Ensures you are qualified and meet the professional standards to provide nursing care in Australia.
- First Aid and CPR certificate: Demonstrates your readiness to respond to emergencies effectively.
- Experience in aged Care or similar settings: While not mandatory, familiarity with aged care equips you to handle the unique challenges of this environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current driver’s licence, Current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check – or the ability to acquire.
- Undergo a National Personal Insolvency Check.
Desirable Attributes:
- Postgraduate qualifications in gerontology, dementia care, or a related field are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy to connect with residents and their families.
- A proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and professional growth.
