About the role
We are looking for a Type A Appliance Servicing Gas Fitter based around the North, Inner North, and Inner Western Suburbs.
As a Service Works Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for performing Gas Safety Checks for our clients within your local and surrounding areas. You will be performing safety checks, appliance servicing and fault finding across various Type A appliances including cooktops, Freestanding cookers, hot water appliances, and various heating appliances.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Work under by one of our friendly and experience Service Works Supervisor
Our bookings team will schedule your day/week
Start and finish from home, you'll drive within an hour to residential properties (opportunities for regional trips as well)
Potential opportunities to work with and supervise an Apprentice, or work in groups
Conduct Saefty Checks and Services on Type A appliances, as well as Emergency Call Outs and fault finding
Report findings via our Smartphone App - No paperwork involved
Requirements
VBA accreditation - 'Type A appliance servicing work'
Experience with servicing Type A Gas Appliances
Experience installing, commissioning and rectifying Type A Appliances and Gas Lines looked favourably
Comfort working with a variety of customers, including the Community and Social Housing Space
Valid driver’s license
Great customer service and communication skills
Please note: Safety comes first at Detector Inspector, as a pre-requisite candidates will be required to complete a National Police Clearance and a Pre-Employment Physical Assessment.

$45+ per hour depending on experience + super, work vehicle, tools, mobile and uniform
