About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our skilled and dynamic Finance Team, based out of our Preston office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your finance expertise to manage various accounting functions. Have a big impact in the team, supporting financial operations across accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and more.

Your key accountabilities will include:

Process EFT payments as per schedule and distribute remittance advices in a timely manner.

Performing end of month reconciliations

Reconciling creditor and debtor statements

Responding to internal and external customer queries promptly and providing general assistance to support the Finance Team

Monitor cash flow and support payment scheduling across projects

Follow up price queries and missing invoices

Support payroll activities as required

Ad-hoc duties to assist with month end reporting

You are:

A professional with a completed degree in Finance.

A growth focused professional - With 3-4 years’ experience in the finance space, you have a great foundation and a willingness to learn, change and grow.

A Jack of all Trades – You have had exposure to different accounting functions.

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Detail Oriented - You pride yourself on your attention to detail.

Experienced in Data Entry – With a strong knack for numbers, you are proficient in spreadsheet work and data entry.

A Communicator – In your interactions with stakeholders both internal and external you

A Process Improver - Both in your work and the wider teams' systems and processes, you are receptive to advice and not afraid to make suggestions of your own to aid process improvement and improve the efficiency of the team.
