Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains) is Victoria’s new, state-of-the-art maximum-security correctional facility.

Corrections Victoria is now recruiting full-time prison officers to start at Western Plains.

The Sea Change Package

Benefits you will receive include:

New $8,000 Western Plains sign-on bonus: Six months after commencing as a prison officer at Western Plains, you will receive a payment of $4,000. Then, after one year of full-time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000.

Up to $10,000 in relocation reimbursements: These funds cover expenses directly incurred by your need to move closer to your workplace. Expenses can include travel, temporary accommodation, removal, storage and more.

Eligibility

You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency. You also need to hold an Australian driver’s licence (minimum P2).
