About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Manager to join the team at the ALH Group - Mermaid Waters Hotel in Mermaid Waters, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the Hotel Manager in overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations to ensure exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the Hotel Manager in the day-to-day management of the hotel, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting
Providing leadership and direction to the hotel's team, ensuring all staff are trained, motivated, and delivering high levels of customer service
Monitoring and improving hotel operations, procedures, and policies to enhance efficiency and the guest experience
Handling guest enquiries and complaints in a professional and effective manner
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Participating in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies
Representing the hotel at industry events and building relationships with key stakeholders
What we're looking for
Extensive experience in a similar Assistant Manager or Duty Manager role within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience
Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
Thorough understanding of hospitality operations, policies, and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
