About the role

Currumbin Hotel is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Currumbin Waters, Queensland. As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management of our bustling pub, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth day-to-day operations. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to grow your career in the dynamic retail and hospitality industry.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Owner in leading and motivating the pub's team of staff

Overseeing day-to-day operations, including managing stock, rosters, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining and drinking experience for all our patrons

Identifying and implementing strategies to drive sales and maximise profitability

Resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Ensuring compliance with all relevant liquor licensing and OLGR requirements

Assisting with staff training and development to build a skilled and engaged team

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar Assistant Manager or supervisory role within the retail or hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Sound financial acumen and experience in inventory management and budgeting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders

Demonstrated understanding of liquor licensing and workplace health and safety regulations

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience

RMLV, RSG, RSA and Approved managers licence
