About the role

Equity Works Assoc. Inc. is seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. We have positions across multiple locations across the Sunshine Coast; at Yandina House (a purpose-built STA house), joining our Supported Independent Living team, and supporting participation in the community. We are looking for people with availability to suit 25+ hours a week, up to full-time hours. We have clients waiting to meet new male and female staff to support their goals of personal growth, independence, and inclusion.

What you'll be doing

Provide personalised support and care to clients with physical, intellectual or psychosocial disabilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as personal care, meal preparation and household tasks

Facilitate community access and participation, including helping clients attend appointments, social events and leisure activities

Implement individualised support plans to help clients achieve their goals

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory requirements

Liaise with families, carers and other service providers to ensure seamless care

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in disability support, community services or a related field

Demonstrated experience providing quality care and support to people with disability

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Passion for empowering people with disability and a commitment to promoting their independence

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including sleepovers, some weekends and public holidays

A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
