About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS as a Senior Speech Pathologist, where you will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical expertise for children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues
- Delivering direct expert care to individuals or groups and providing clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff
- Ensuring and providing quality speech pathology services for clients with complex social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties
- Working within a multidisciplinary and interagency team context to support client care
- Delivering advanced clinical services to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health population
- Assuming a clinical and professional leadership role within the organization
- Contributing to improvements in the quality and safety of mental health speech pathology services
- Overseeing the distribution of speech pathology services across CAMHS based on community needs and demand
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
- Extensive experience in the delivery of speech pathology services to children and adolescents with co-morbid mental health presentations in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Extensive experience in the area of clinical supervision of staff and students.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, incorporating speech pathology practice into the mental health setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms
