You will meet directly at schools across Sydney or begin your day at our Depot in Pennant Hills.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who can deliver a high level of customer experience and are passionate about improving children's dental health.
As a vital member of our mobile dental team, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality care to school-aged children.
Key Qualities:
Good Communication Skills: You should be able to assist in delivering dental care by communicating passionately and effectively with children, parents, and school teachers. This includes the ability to problem solve and provide solutions where needed.
Knowledge of dental procedures: You should have fond knowledge of preventative and restorative dental procedures and understanding of dental charting. You should also have knowledge of Dental for windows dental software.
Leadership Skills: Be able to independently lead your clinical team for success by understanding and applying your knowledge of a successful treatment day. You will work collaboratively with clinicians and fellow staff members. A supportive attitude and willingness to assist others contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.
Adaptability: Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, mobile setting. You should feel comfortable adjusting to different school environments and be able to work efficiently with your team member to achieve tasks; Taking the lead to structure your workday.
Your Responsibilities:
Prepare Treatment Areas: Set up treatment rooms properly, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are readily available. Maintain cleanliness and organisation to achieve an efficient and quality workflow.
Assist with Dental Procedures: Work alongside clinicians to support various dental treatments. Including preparing patients for treatment, assisting with equipment and materials, and providing comfort to young patients during procedures.
Manage Patient Records: Keep accurate patient records, documenting treatments and ensuring all information is up-to-date and stored confidentially.
Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Customer service: Clearly understand and communicate with school teachers and principals, parents and students to represent our organisation.
What we require from you:
Certification as a dental assistant in Australia or minimum 2 years experience as a Dental Assistant.
You will need to apply and pass a Working with children and police check.
A drivers licence - Ability to drive our dental vans (training provided).
