About the role

We are seeking a part-time/casual Cafe All Rounder to join our vibrant team at Veloce Paninoteca in Glenelg, SA. As a Cafe All Rounder, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the overall operations of our busy cafe. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the hospitality industry. We are seeking someone with a bubbly personality that can take orders, serve ice-cream, as well as help around the kitchen with washing dishes and serving food or drinks to customers.

We are looking for someone that can help the breakfast team by leading from the front and help build the customer service to new levels. The shifts will be based over breakfast and lunch over a 7 day roster from 7:30-8:00am. Weekend and public holiday work is included.

What you'll be doing

Providing friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders and processing payments

Preparing and serving a range of food and beverages, including coffee, cold drinks, toasted paninis, and more!

Maintaining a clean and well-organised work environment, including cleaning and restocking as needed

Supporting the wider cafe team with any other duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

Demonstrated skills in food preparation and barista techniques (not required)

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays, opening and closing shifts

A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing a high-quality dining experience

Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure

Genuine interest in the day to day operations
