The Company
Our client is a Nationwide, leading engineering contractor that was established close to 30 years ago. They have been specialising in a range of solutions for Remediation works including Concrete Remediation (Remedial) and Corrosion Protection / Blast and Paint works.

The Role
Our client currently has multiple permanent opportunities for NACE 2 Qualified QA / QC Officers to join their Defence team. These are exciting jobs that you can be proud to be a part of. You will be working on some large scale Defence Ships and Submarines on long-term maintenance and preservation contracts. Our client will consider NACE 1 Qualified QA / QC Officers, however the NACE 2 qualification will need to be obtained if successful.

As a 'NACE 2 QA / QC Officer' you will use your skills and expertise to support project managers, supervisors, and crew members to ensure the successful completion of works to specified quality standards.

Your key responsibilities:

• Ensure works carried out is in accordance with project plans and procedures.
• Maintain quality standards with QA / QC inspections / audits to ensure all Blast & Paint works complies to client quality requirements
• Ensure that Technical procedures and ITPs are achieved and maintained
• Complete regular audits
• Conducting material inspections and review of documentation to ensure compliance to project technical requirements
• Reporting on all non-conformance incidents and providing feedback on solutions and turnaround time for corrections to be made
• Strong focus on safety and collaboratively working with the team on safety

What are we looking for?

• NACE CIP 2 Certified (Essential)
• Experience in complex blast and paint and concrete remediation scopes
• Technical knowledge on surface preparation and protective coatings works
• Experience with quality systems - ITP's, QA / QC works
• Clear National Police Check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
