A well-established Nepalese & Indian restaurant is looking for a Qualified Chef.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently requiring an enthusiastic and dedicated Chef to join our friendly, committed, and professional team.

This is a Full-Time role (Approximately 38 Hours Per Week) which provides a great work-life balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and cook foods as per menu

Planning the menus, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.

Preparing and cooking food as per menu

Overseeing all kitchen operations

Coordinating kitchen staff and assisting them as required

Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required

Responsible for ensuring kitchen equipment and machinery are operated at optimal levels, including regulating temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.

Must be reliable, punctual and have knowledge, understanding and adhere to all HACCP guidelines.

Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

Ensure all food is handled hygienically and all equipment and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and in an appropriate condition to be used for hygienic food preparation.

Clean and organize kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations

Ensure health and safety standards and COVID safety

Provide training to cooks and other kitchen staffs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery desirable

Minimum of 1 years’ experience

Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen with prolonged periods of standing
