While direct experience in warehousing and stores is desirable, we can train the right candidate; however, mechanical aptitude and trade-like abilities are paramount, as is the capacity to work unsupervised and dispatch experience is highly regarded. ABOUT THE POSITION - General Hand

The successful individual shall assist the store and warehousing facilities at the O'Connor site. Duties include:

Stock management, including stacking shelves and keeping the nearby bulk warehouse clean, organised and safe

Unpacking and checking inventory upon arriving on-site

Collecting, packing and dispatching inventory

Tracking and recording inventory in our computer system

Delivery driver as required

Interacting with workshop and sales team members, as well as occasional customers in person or via phone

Some assembly of manufactured parts, such as wheel hubs for stock replenishment and stock management

ABOUT YOU - Position Requirements

The person for this rewarding role would be someone who:

Essential

is reliable, with a solid work ethic

is physically fit, with strong manual handling skills,

is mechanically minded with good mechanical aptitude,

has a manual driver's licence,

is passionate about organisation, structure, order, cleanliness, safety and attention to detail,

is a practical, motivated self-starter who can work independently and unsupervised with support from fellow workers.

Desirable

Forklift licence and forklift operator experience,

experience as a storeperson,

experience with trailer/car-part picking knowledge,

experience in the Metal trade,

confidence with the phone and good communication skills,

confidence with computers.

Full Australian working rights.
