The Carers Queensland Toowoomba office is looking for the right person to join our Local Area Coordinator team. If you are passionate, empathetic and compassionate, and can work in a fast-paced, goal oriented and agile setting, we want to hear from you!
About The Role:
In this role you will be the key link between our participants, the National Disability Insurance Agency, and the community you live and work in. Our LACs are our front line serving the community by delivering the NDIS LAC PITC program. This role will have a focus on building and strengthening the capacity of people with disabilities (both NDIS participants and non-participants), their families and their carers.
Key Duties:
- Implement processes and plans using a person-centred approach.
- Deliver program-wide strategy to engage people with disability, government, business and community sectors.
- Support community capacity building projects to meet community needs with strategic long-term vision.
- Develop strategic, collegial and productive relationships, within and external to Carers Queensland, to ensure the best outcomes for clients, the program and the organisation.
