Specialist Practice in North Adelaide: Gynaecology / Dermatology

Casual position, 3 days per week

We are looking for a dual role Medical Receptionist/Clinical Assistant to join us in our medical specialist practice in North Adelaide.

We are 2 specialists sharing rooms – Dr Xen Xenophou, Gynaecologist and Dr Sally Ball, Dermatologist.

Our practice prides itself on professional, thorough and personalised service, focused on patient care.

Reliability, honesty, excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality are vital.

The successful applicant must be able to work well within a small team.

It is a dual role casual position, 3 days per week:

Monday: 8:00 - 12:00 or 8:30 - 12:30. Receptionist role.

Tuesday: 7:30 - 4:00/4:30. Receptionist role for Dr Ball.

Wednesday: 8:00 - 1:00/2:00. Clinical Assistant role for Dr Xenophou.

Some flexibility in hours if doctors finish early or late.

You will need to provide leave cover for the other receptionist, who can also cover for you.

Remuneration is based on the Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027], Level 3, casual rates.

On site parking is available on Mondays and Wednesdays.

RECEPTION DUTIES INCLUDE but not limited to:

Greeting patients, answering phones, making appointments in Genie software

Scanning referrals and documents

Medical audio typing, receiving and sending letters and emails

Informing doctors of patient medical queries

Invoicing and receipting, banking settlements, using an EFTPOS machine

Buying office supplies as required

CLINICAL ASSISTANT DUTIES INCLUDE:

Assist Dr Xenophou during his consulting and during minor office procedures.

Preparation and maintenance of consultation and examination rooms

Taking patients into examination room

Assisting Dr Xenophou with procedures - Colposcopy, Biopsies, Insertion of Mirena/Implanon/Hormonal Implants

Cleaning instruments and preparing them for sterilisation

Handling and documenting pathology specimens

Ordering and maintaining of consumable items

We are at 53 Walter St North Adelaide.

We are looking for a motivated person who is genuinely interested in the health and well-being of others.

Prior experience working in medical rooms is not essential.

The position is available now and we wish to employ the most suitable person as soon as possible.

Thorough training will be provided.
