A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Coordination Officer to join a vibrant government organisation on a temporary basis until August 2025. Your New Role
- Coordinate and Support Activities: Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Deliver High-Quality Briefings: Ensure timely delivery of briefings and materials to senior leadership, and track and report on this as required.
- Support processes to monitor decisions and outcomes, such as executive approvals and briefing status. Build Networks:
- Establish, build, and maintain productive networks within the organisation and across government to optimise outcomes in intergovernmental projects, generate intelligence, proactively share information, and expedite coordinated responses to requests from senior leadership.
- Respond to Enquiries: Receive, direct, and respond to diverse enquiries from other parts of the organisation and government.
- Coordinate Input: Invite and coordinate input from the team regarding activities or publications in other parts of the government.
- Support Representation: Assist in secretariat arrangements for regular meetings of senior executives and governance forums. Support representation in committees, forums, and working groups.
- Contribute to Culture: Actively contribute to building and maintaining a constructive culture within the division, demonstrating self-management and taking a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
What You'll Need to Succeed - Project Delivery: Define tasks to meet agreed outcomes; coordinate and guide others in executing work activities; monitor progress against plans and take corrective action when needed.
- Systems Thinking: Assess situations to identify the best tools for analysis and problem-solving; apply system archetypes to recognise common dynamics; understand the impact of actions on other parts of the organisation or more broadly.
- Stakeholder Management: Add value to clients or stakeholders; connect people with other areas as needed; monitor satisfaction and constructively address issues.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Resolve issues through understanding or interpreting guidelines; analyse ideas and take action to resolve problems; determine additional information needed for informed decisions; apply critical thinking and problem-solving concepts appropriately.
